Impart Mod adds the Eye of Tethering, an item that lets you send your soul to a different location. Your body stays behind while your soul can mine, build, and fight. When you’re done, right click the Eye again and snap back. It’s a killer mechanic for building in particular.
What You Can Do
Mining
Mining as a separated soul is slow. Your soul is weak, so it takes way longer to break blocks. That’s the downside. But it lets you get to spots your body can’t reach, so it’s a fair tradeoff.
Building
This is where the mod shines. You get way more freedom to position yourself in 3D space. No more struggling with angles or falling when you’re trying to place a block in an awkward spot. You can place blocks exactly where they need to go.
Combat
Fighting as a soul? Don’t do it against skeletons. Your soul takes more damage and you can’t hit as hard. It’s risky and not worth it for actual combat.
Crafting the Eye
You make the Eye of Tethering in a furnace using an Eye of Ender. That’s the only recipe. Want to see it in-game? Install Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric).
How to Use It
- Look at where you want to go
- Hold right click and wait for the indicator to reach your target
- Release to send your soul there
- Right click again to go back to your body
