How do I attach a cart to my horse?

Mount your horse (or other rideable mob) and press the action key, which defaults to 'R'. You can change this in your options. The closest cart within 3 blocks will attach to your mount.

Horse Carts Mod Overview

Horse Carts Mod adds rideable carts that attach to horses, donkeys, and other rideable mobs. Each cart holds as much stuff as a double chest, and you can actually sit on it while your horse hauls it around. The more items you pack in, the more cargo shows up on the cart visually.

Features

Attachable Carts – Attach and detach carts from rideable mobs with a single action key press
Double Chest Storage – Cart inventory equals a double chest, perfect for transport runs
Rideable Design – Sit on the back of the cart while your horse pulls it
Plows – Use plow attachments and toggle them on or off with a right-click
Visual Storage Indicator – Cargo appearance changes based on how many inventory slots you fill

How to Use

Attaching the Cart: Mount a rideable mob and press the action key (default is “R”, can be changed in your options). The closest cart or plow within 3 blocks will attach to your mount.

Sitting on the Cart: Right-click the cart to climb onto the back of it.

Opening Inventory: Sneak and right-click the cart to open its inventory and manage items.

Breaking the Cart: Hit it multiple times to destroy it. All items drop on the ground.

Using the Plow: Right-click the plow to enable plowing mode. Right-click again to stop plowing.

Crafting

You’ll need to craft the Wheel, Cart, and Plow to get started. We recommend installing Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric) to see the recipes in-game.
