Grappling Hook Mod adds a bunch of fun ways to move around your Minecraft world. Want to swing between buildings like Spider-Man? Use magnetic hooks to scale cliffs? Launch yourself across gaps? There’s a hook type for every playstyle. Perfect if you’re exploring massive builds or just want more mobility options.

What You Get

Simple Grappling Hook

The classic. Throw it, swing around with WASD, and release whenever you want.

• Right click to throw hook
• Right click again to release
• WASD to swing
• Space to release and jump
• Shift to stop swinging
• Shift+W to climb up, Shift+S to climb down

Motorized Grappling Hook

Launches you forward automatically. Faster and easier than swinging.

• Right click to launch
• Right click or Space to release
• Double right click to launch again

Ender Staff

Propels you in whatever direction you’re facing. Works great on its own or combined with other hooks.

• Right click to launch forward

Ender Grappling Hook

Combines the regular grappling hook with the ender staff. Left click to boost, right click to swing.

• Left click to propel forward
• Right click to throw hook and swing like normal
• Space to release and jump
• Shift to stop swinging
• Shift+W and Shift+S to climb

Long Fall Boots

Cancels fall damage. Wear these for big drops.

Magnetic Forcefield

You get repelled by nearby surfaces, letting you hover around. Works with the ender staff too.

• Right click to toggle on/off
• Shift to slow down
• WASD to move

Magnetic Grappling Hook

The hook gets attracted to blocks while you get repelled. Creates a cool hovering effect.

• Right click to throw hook
• Right click again to release
• Double right click to release and throw again
• WASD to swing
• Space to release and jump
• Shift+Left click to change repel force

Dual Motorized Grappling Hooks

Two hooks at once that pull you toward them. Side crosshairs show where the hooks aim, center shows your movement direction.

• Right click to throw hooks
• Right click again to release
• Double right click to release and throw again
• Shift+Right click for narrower hook angle
• Shift+Left click to adjust speed

Installation

You’ll need a mod loader first. This mod works with Minecraft Forge (recommended) or Fabric.

Steps:

1. Install Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version
2. Download the mod file
3. Put it in your .minecraft/mods folder
4. Launch with the Forge/Fabric profile

If you think the mod is too powerful, adjust it with game rules:
