Grappling Hook Mod 1.18 1.17 | Swing & Climb

Want to fly through your Minecraft world without needing wings? The Grappling Hook mod lets you swing, climb, and launch yourself across terrain like a parkour legend. Fire the Grappling Hook Crossbow and get pulled toward where your projectile lands. It’s basically a rope in your hand, minus the actual rope breaking when you’re hanging off a cliff.

What’s the Grappling Hook Crossbow?

It works like a crossbow, but instead of shooting things, it shoots a hook that pulls you wherever it lands. Fire it at a wall, ceiling, or mountain and you’ll zip right toward it. The rope has limits though. Go too far and the rope snaps, which is definitely bad news if you’re dangling 50 blocks up.

Even though you don’t need ammo to use it, the hook still takes durability damage with each shot. You can enchant it with Unbreaking and Mending to make it last longer. Hit it up at an anvil or enchantment table to add these enchantments.

How to Install

You’ll need Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version. Download the mod file and drop it in your .minecraft/mods folder. That’s it. Launch Minecraft and the mod should appear in your loaded mods list.

To exit the grappling rope, press Jump or Sneak.

Version Compatibility

This mod works on Minecraft 1.18 and 1.17. Make sure you download the correct version for your Minecraft installation. The versions aren’t interchangeable, so grab the right one for your setup.
