Gizmos Mod 1.7.10 – Explosions, Tools & Gadgets

Gizmos Mod 1.7.10 is packed with creative new tools and gadgets for Minecraft. Some blow things up. Most of them blow things up, honestly. But there’s also genuinely useful stuff if you want it.

Explosive Items

Gravity Bomb: Falls until it hits a block, then explodes. Craft with 3 TNT on top, blaze powder in the middle, and 3 iron ingots on the sides.

Excavator Bomb: Like a gravity bomb, but keeps falling and exploding for a while. Stack 3 gravity bombs vertically, add iron on the middle sides and iron pickaxes on the bottom.

Time Bomb: Simple explosive with a configurable fuse. Creates vanilla TNT when it detonates. Make it from a clock and TNT.

Fork Bomb: Looks identical to a time bomb. When right-clicked, it spawns more fork bombs in adjacent spaces. Craft by surrounding a time bomb with end stone. Warning: These spread fast. Use the defuser to clean them up safely.

Practical Tools

Build Tool: Works like a diamond pickaxe but lets you load other tools and blocks into it using the inserter. Right-click to use whatever’s loaded. It auto-refills from your inventory. Craft with a diamond pickaxe, piston, and chest.

Inserter: A GUI tool for loading items into other tools or blocks. Place a tool in the pickaxe slot, use the down arrow slot to input items, and the up arrow slot to take them out. Craft with a lens, crafting table, and chest on top; 3 iron blocks in the middle; and planks in the bottom corners.

Temporal Dislocator: Tired of waiting for something to smelt? Sneak and right-click a furnace or crafting block to pull the finished version back in time. Works with most blocks but test with mods first. Craft by surrounding an iron ingot with clocks.

Defuser: The only safe way to remove fork bombs and explosives. Sneak while using it or you’ll create more bombs. Craft with this pattern: nothing, shears, lens on top; nothing, stick, shears in middle; stick, nothing, nothing on bottom.

Telekinesis Catalyst: Right-click to interact with blocks from up to 10 blocks away through air.

Utility Items

Deforestator: Burns logs, leaves, vines, and tall grass almost instantly. Craft with flint and steel in the middle, blaze powder at the corners, and saplings on the sides.

Miner’s Lighter: Instantly ignites gravel and lava. Doesn’t work in the Nether for safety. Make like a deforestator but use gravel instead of saplings.

Fire Extinguisher: Puts out any fire, including blazes, in 2 hits. Craft with an iron ingot on top center, water buckets below, and rose red in the four surrounding slots.

Invenswappers: Two blocks that swap items between your inventory and a chest or hopper without opening GUIs. Place them so you can walk on top. Sneak on them to swap. Red arrows show the flow direction. Craft with iron pressure plates, lapis blocks, chests, and hoppers in pattern: ICI / LPL / LHL.

Dynamic Wool: Wool that changes color based on redstone signal strength. Black for full signal, white for none.

Spy Lens: Precision optics component used in the inserter and defuser. Craft with 4 iron around a glass block.

Movement Blocks

Accelerator: Speeds up anything on top of it. Can’t be crafted legitimately.

Launcher: Shoots entities upward. Also not legitimately obtainable.

Small Features

Flower Fix: Makes vanilla flowers spawn more often when other mods are crowding them out. Weights are configurable.

Portal Buff: Lets you build portals in any size or shape, even thin 1-block-wide ones.

Vanilla Recipe Reverter: Re-adds vanilla rail recipes if another mod removed them.

Item Containment: Gizmos includes a banning system so admins can disable specific items without removing the entire mod. List module names in the config to exclude them.

How to Install

1. Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version
2. Download the Gizmos Mod file
3. Navigate to your .minecraft/mods folder
4. Drop the mod file in
5. Launch Minecraft with Forge selected
