If you’re the type of player who likes to keep your maps organized, Giacomo’s Map Coloring Mod is exactly what you need. Ever notice how every map you create gets the same black detailing pixels? This mod lets you change those colors by combining maps with dyes at a crafting table. Now you can actually color-code your entire map collection instead of just squinting at tiny icons in your inventory.
What Does This Mod Do?
Here’s the deal. In vanilla Minecraft, when you create a map, those little pixels that show up on the map icon in your inventory are always black. This mod lets you change them to any of the 16 in-game dye colors. It’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference when you’re managing a bunch of maps.
Features
- Change map detailing pixel colors with dyes
- Works with all 16 in-game dyes
- Simple crafting recipe at the crafting table
- Fully compatible with Forge and NeoForge
How to Use It
Drop a map and any dye in a crafting table. Out comes the same map but with colored detailing pixels instead of black ones. That’s it. Works with all 16 dye colors, so you can have red maps, blue maps, green maps, whatever.
