The Genetic Infusion Mod lets you capture the souls of Minecraft mobs and combine them to create entirely new creatures. Want a creeper-zombie hybrid? A skeleton with enderman traits? This mod makes it possible through a simple crystal-based system.
How It Works
The mod revolves around two main mechanics: soul crystals and Clay Golems. Here’s the basic flow.
Soul Crystals
Soul crystals spawn deep in caves. When you kill a mob while holding a crystal, it absorbs that mob’s soul and turns red. Each crystal holds one soul’s data. If you combine two red crystals in a crafting table, you get a new crystal containing a blend of both souls.
You can keep combining crystals to create more complex hybrid traits. A crystal with a creeper-skeleton-spider combo is totally doable.
Clay Golems and Transformation
Build a Clay Golem the same way you build an Iron Golem, but use hardened clay or stained clay blocks instead of iron. Stack them head-body-body, then place a pumpkin on top as the final step.
Once you have a Clay Golem and a soul crystal with traits you want, right-click the golem with the crystal in hand. The golem transforms into the hybrid mob stored in your crystal. The golem stays transformed and behaves like that mob.
