Forbidden Magic Mod 1.7.10
Forbidden Magic is an add-on for Thaumcraft that lets you explore the darker side of magic. It adds sinister magical artifacts, powerful tools, weapons, and machines that feel much more dangerous than standard Thaumcraft content. The mod splits into two main parts, each adding a unique way to play.
Nether Part
Introduced in version 1.6.4, the Nether section adds 7 new shards based on the seven deadly sins. These shards craft into heavy-duty endgame tools and weapons that pack serious power. You’ll need to grind for these, but the payoff is real.
Taint Part
Added in 1.7.10, Taint lets you survive and thrive in Tainted Lands. You get special trees, tools, wands, blocks, and food that work with the tainted biomes. It’s a bit easier to get going with than the Nether stuff, and it opens up exploration you wouldn’t find in vanilla Thaumcraft.
Cross-Mod Features
The mod adds tons of cross-mod items when you have other magic mods installed. Some are basically useless gimmicks, some are absolutely broken. Adds interactions with Blood Magic, Ars Magica 2, and Botania.
