Flashlight Addon Mcpe
Exploring dark areas in Minecraft just got easier with the Flashlight addon. Flashlight Addon (1.19) adds a new item “Flashlight” into the game, this useful tool not only improves exploration but also adds a new dimension to horror maps and survival gameplay. Compatible with most add-ons, this addon doesn’t require a player.json but requires a setup for flawless functioning. Instructions for setting up are provided below. With the Flashlight addon, players can enjoy the perks of having a flashlight while traversing through dark and dangerous areas, making survival gameplay more exciting and immersive.
Features:
How to set up to use this addon:
- Go to your world, place a repeating command block (Always Active, 0-tick delay), and type the following command: function flashlight_beam.
- Stand on the top of the repeating command, and add a ticking area. You can add a ticking area by entering the following command: /tickingarea add ~~~ ~~~ oxstudio_initializer
- Why is this setup required: Because tick.json is sometimes causing the lights to flicker, and the author has not found other ways to make the light consistent than to execute the function through a repeating command block.
The properties of the flashlight:
The flashlight can be toggled ON or OFF by right-clicking (PC) or long-pressing (mobile). The flashlight also uses separate models to match the state of the flashlight (whether it is on or off).
Crafting Recipe:
- 4 iron ingots
- 1 copper ingot
- 1 glass
- 1 redstone lamp
Limitations:
Offhand is currently not available, because the author is still finishing the first-person display for the offhand.
The flashlight does not have a battery (endless durability), so you will be able to use it anytime you like. But for players who like to play with battery mechanics, the author will be adding this option as a subpack.
Screenshots:
Within 10-block reach, the flashlight detects the nearest solid block…
…and prevents the light from penetrating the adjacent solid block.
With a realistic light beam, it is suitable for horror maps and survival gameplay:
Installation Note:
- You should use this addon on Minecraft version 1.19.50 or above. this may work with 1.19.20 (try it yourself), but any version lower will not be compatible, this is because this add-on uses the new /execute syntax, which has recently been added to 1.19.10.
- Make sure that cheats and the following experimental toggles are enabled:
