Feathers Mod adds a stamina system to Minecraft using blue feathers displayed above your hunger bar. How much stamina you get depends on your armor weight. Heavy armor means less stamina but more protection. Light armor gives you more stamina to work with. The choice is yours.
Armor Weights
Every armor piece in the game now has a weight value. By default, Feathers Mod automatically calculates weight for all vanilla and modded armor. You can override these values in the config if you want to tweak the balance.
This creates real decisions in combat. You’re not just choosing armor for stats anymore. Better armor means better defense but less maneuverability. Weaker armor means you’ll take more damage if hit, but you get more stamina to dodge and move around.
Potion Effects
Feathers adds three new potion effects:
- Endurance: Adds extra feathers above your bar, similar to how Absorption works with health.
- Energized: Your feathers regenerate much faster.
- Cold: Your feathers stop regenerating while this effect is active.
All three effects display on the feathers bar in a Vanilla+ style.
API for Modders
Feathers Mod includes a simple API for modders who want to add support in their own mods. Hooking into the stamina system is straightforward and well-documented.
How to Install
