What do I need to install Enchiridion Mod?

You need Minecraft Forge installed for your version. Then just drop the mod file into your mods folder (.minecraft/mods) and launch.

Can I use Enchiridion with other mods?

Yes, Enchiridion works fine alongside other Forge mods. It doesn't conflict with the usual suspects.

How many books can I store?

The library holds 65 books, and the book binder holds 21 books. You need to craft or obtain the books to use them.

Can I add links and buttons to my books?

Absolutely. The editor lets you create buttons with hover effects, links to websites, and custom formatting.

Does this work on servers?

Yes. There's a sync option in the config if you want server and client books to match. It's off by default.

Enchiridion Mod Overview

Enchiridion Mod lets you create and load custom books into Minecraft from zip files in your config folder. Originally part of Mariculture, it’s been spun out as its own thing because the book system is just that good. Perfect if you’re running a modpack and need to explain mechanics to players, or if you just want to leave notes for yourself.

Main Features

Book Editor

The editor is basically a mini painting studio for your books. You get a timeline for moving between pages, a grid system to position text and images exactly where you want them, and a full button editor. Need to add links to websites? Done. Want hover effects on buttons? You can do that. The editor also lets you lock layers so you don’t accidentally move stuff, make layers invisible, copy and paste content between pages, and toggle item tooltips on or off.

Library System

You can store up to 65 books in your personal library, but you need to own them instead of getting them free. It’s like the book binder, except the books stick with your player instead of being in an item.

Book Binder

This is a portable item that holds up to 21 mod books. Super light, super useful. The recipe is simple: 2 string and 2 paper. Just right-click to open it and drop books inside. You can also right-click individual books from the binder to read them.

Server Sync

There’s a config option to sync books between server and client. It’s off by default, but you can turn it on both sides if you want everyone to see the same books.

Included Tutorial

Enchiridion comes with a default book that walks you through the editor features so you’re not starting completely blind.
