Ever notice how your screen goes red when you get hit in shooters? Effect Overlay Mod brings that same visual feedback to Minecraft. Your screen edges change color based on damage and status effects, giving you instant information without looking away from the action.
What It Does
Damage Feedback
Take damage and the screen edges tint red. You get immediate visual feedback of what’s happening to your health.
Status Effect Colors
Each status effect has its own color. Poison turns the edges green, wither makes them darker, and so on. You’ll know what debuff hit you just by looking at the screen. Nausea and Blindness are excluded since they already affect your vision.
Always Visible
Works in first person, third person view (F5), and regular gameplay. You can hide the effects with F1 if you want a cleaner look.
Installation
- Install Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version
- Download the mod file below
- Place the .jar file in your mods folder (.minecraft/mods)
- Launch Minecraft and play
Version Support
