"Rainbeau's Sky Islands (New Dimension Version)" Changelog

20220804 - Added (rare) end cities to the "faux end" biome
Made "exotic" (nether, end, etc.) biomes slightly larger

20220802 - Update to MC version 1.19
(The game's changes to custom dimension generation necessitated that this be largely a
reinvention of the original data pack rather than a simple upgrade. As a result, there
are extensive changes, most of them fairly subtle but some more obvious, between this
version and the last. I am not going to attempt to list all of the differences here.)

20210327 - Redid turtle spawning (now only in temperate zones) to eliminate overpopulation issues

20210216 - Fixed turtle spawning so turtles actually spawn (in temperate and warm oceans)
           Allowed for multiple portal sizes
Updated the included resource pack to improve portal look and accommodate new sizes
Updated files as necessary for compatibility with my new "village" data packs

20201224 - Revised areas in perpetual shadow to be more deliberately barren in appearance
Changed portals to be activated with flint and steel instead of water
(This should not impact portals already created and activated)

20201217 - Made it possible to construct portals with just 10 blocks, like vanilla nether portals
Set auto-generated return portals to only have "platforms" if generated in midair
Updated the included resource pack again

20201215 - Made it impossible to "activate" a portal in a dimension where it won't work
Fixed the resource pack's appearance for "Sky Islands" portals

20201214 - Changed the name from "multidimensional" to "new dimension" for better clarity
Improved functions for compatibility with other custom dimension data packs
Added an optional resource pack to make the pack's portals look a bit nicer

20201213 - Split this "multidimensional" version off from the main data pack release
Made the sky islands dimension a separate dimension, rather than an overworld replacement
Updated the "Adventuring Time" advancement to require both the pack's and vanilla's biomes
Removed strongholds and ruined nether portals from sky islands biomes

20201213 - Raised the ocean floor (not sea level), so it's consistent with vanilla's deep oceans
Revised how shipwrecks generate, so they now appear only on the ocean floor
Removed desert and jungle pyramids and mansions, which generate poorly on the pack's maps
Removed fossils, which I couldn't stop from generating in midair

20201122 - Set end cities to rarely spawn in the otherwise boring faux end biome
Tweaked a few biome definitions to match their new "Water World" counterparts
Revised biome placement to make exotic biomes a bit less rare

20201013 - Set slimes to spawn occasionally in the marshland biome, as they do in vanilla swamps
Gave up on trying to get lily pads to spawn only in ponds, and declared them ocean plants
Marshlands are no longer quite so completely overgrown

20201011 - Fixed a glitch in yesterday's update that temporarily overpopulated guardians again

20201010 - Fixed foxes to spawn white in snowy biomes, and rabbits to spawn gold in tropical deserts
Improved player spawn randomization to make it more multiplayer-friendly

20201001 - Added player spawn randomization
Further increased the generation frequency of ponds in marshlands
Completely changed the way guardians are spawned, to finally get their numbers down

20200929 - Added barren mesa and crystal mesa biomes
Added petrified shrubs to the prismarine mesa biome
Reduced the number of trees in the temperate grassland biome
Added (very dense) oak bushes and more water to the marshland biome
(Side note: Fixed the bush bug from vanilla that oddly attaches oak leaves to jungle trunks)
Added mossy boulders (which already existed in boreal rainforests) to boreal forests
Added cobblestone boulders to the three frozen biomes and to boreal deserts
Added granite boulders to the badlands mesa biome
Reduced the number of trees in the badlands mesa biome
Added patches of red sand and some cacti to badlands mesas
Added patches of coarse dirt and more cacti to the tropical desert biome
Made zombie villages much more common, especially in less hospitable biomes
Updated "Adventuring Time" achievement so it looks for the data pack's biomes

20200925 - Further improved the ocean floor, so it's actually possible (and worthwhile) to mine it
Changed the settings for mycelium mesa to keep it from generating next to badlands mesa
Made faux basalt deltas and warped forests rarer, since they're rarer in the actual nether
Also increased the rarity of the faux end biome
Fixed faux nether biomes to all have "hot" ocean characteristics
Gave the skies and water in faux nether biomes a reddish tint
Gave the water in the faux end biome a greyish cast (but left the sky black)
Increased the number of magma vents in the ocean floors of faux nether biomes
Eliminated magma vents from the faux end biome

20200923 - Renamed the data pack to "Rainbeau's Sky Islands"
Split the single frozen biome, tundra, into frozen tundra, frozen shrubland and frozen taiga
Split the single temperate grassland biome into regular and flowery grassland biomes
Added a marshland biome, with lots of clay and sugar cane, to the base biomes list
Fixed the temperate rainforest biome so it now includes patches of mycelium
Added two more "faux nether" biomes, so all nether biomes are individually represented
Added prismarine and mycelium mesa biomes to the exotic biomes list
Removed mineshafts, which just look really stupid generating in midair
Gave the ocean a proper floor, covering up the formerly-bare bedrock
Raised sea level back to vanilla's 63 (from 15)
Attempted again to reduce the guardian overpopulation
		   Once again removed lily pads
		   Added ocean monuments

20200920 - Replaced modified vanilla biomes with fully custom biomes
           Semi-unintentionally added lily pads back
Added "pseudo end" and "pseudo nether" biomes

20200908 - Removed lily pads from the oceans

20200902 - Fixed emerald and lapis so they generate at all elevations, as do other ores
Reduced the spawn rate for guardians

20200901 - Initial release, as "Sky Islands & Infinite Seas"
