All crowns use vanilla Minecraft materials. Nothing exotic, nothing new to mine. Use Just Enough Items or Roughly Enough Items to see the exact recipes.

Can I wear a crown and armor at the same time?

Yes. Crowns don't take up armor slots. Some crowns even give bonus effects when paired with specific armor pieces.
