How the Compost Bin Works

The compost bin is crafted from sticks and planks. It has a 3×3 storage grid where you dump organic materials like seeds, leaves, flowers, and food scraps. The bin will slowly consume these items and convert them into compost. You’ll see steam rise from active bins as the composting process creates heat, and the visible soil level shows how much compost is accumulated inside.

Once you have compost, use it on grass, crops, and plants for a growth boost. It has about a 50% chance to trigger growth compared to bonemeal’s guaranteed effect, so it’s weaker but still useful for recycling waste materials.
