How do I make a builder villager?

Use the Building Bench to convert any unemployed villager into a builder villager. You can't use baby villagers or villagers at bedtime.

How does the building system work?

Get a blueprint from the Building Bench using emeralds. Give the blueprint to your builder villager, then right-click with an empty hand to start building. You can rotate buildings and choose wood types before construction begins.

What's the Construction Zone item for?

It locks your builder villager to a specific block location so buildings are placed exactly where you want. Make it at the Building Bench and right-click the block where you want to build.

Core Features

Building Bench

The Building Bench is your crafting hub for the addon. Here you can convert a regular villager into a builder villager and craft all the items you need to get them working. You can’t convert baby villagers or villagers already sleeping at their beds. Right-click a grown unemployed villager with the Building Bench to make the conversion.

Blueprints and How They Work

Blueprints are the core of the building system. First, craft an empty blueprint at the Building Bench. Then use emeralds and the bench to convert it into a blueprint with building data. The addon includes several pre-built structures, each with its own dimensions.

Once you have a blueprint, give it to your builder villager. The villager will follow you around. You can rotate the building before construction starts by giving the villager a rotation blueprint. By default, buildings face East unless you rotate them. You can also give the villager a wood sample to choose what type of wood they’ll use for construction. Without a sample, they’ll use oak planks by default.

When everything is set up, right-click the villager with an empty hand and they’ll start building. If you change your mind, give them an empty blueprint to cancel. They’ll refund 10 emeralds.

Construction Zone Item

This item helps place buildings exactly where you want them. Craft it at the Building Bench, then right-click a block to lock your builder to that location. The builder will move to the block and stay there until the building is complete. This keeps them from wandering off and messing up your building placement.
