What is a Bubble Coral Fan?
A bubble coral fan is a purple coral block you can find in warm ocean biomes. Unlike most items in Minecraft, you can’t craft this one. You have to find it growing underwater and mine it with the right tool.

Getting Bubble Coral Fans in Survival Mode
Mining bubble coral fans in survival is straightforward once you know where to look and what tool to use.
Step 1: Find a Warm Ocean Biome
Bubble coral fans only spawn in warm ocean biomes. Look for shallow tropical water with colorful coral reefs. They grow underwater in clusters with other coral types.
Step 2: Get a Silk Touch Tool
You need a pickaxe, shovel, or axe with Silk Touch enchantment. Without Silk Touch, the coral fan will break and drop nothing. Any material works (wooden, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite).
Step 3: Mine the Coral Fan
Hold down your attack button to mine the bubble coral fan. It takes a few seconds. On Java Edition, left-click and hold. On mobile/console, follow your platform’s mining controls.
Step 4: Collect Your Item
The mined coral fan will float in the water. Grab it before it despawns. Once collected, it goes straight into your inventory.
