The Better Recipe Books Mod adds quality of life improvements to Minecraft’s recipe book interface. No more digging through recipes when crafting. This mod gives you control over how the recipe book works, with options to customize pretty much everything.

Pin Your Favorite Recipes

Press F to pin recipes to the top of your recipe book. Your most-used recipes stay right where you need them, no scrolling required.

Centered Crafting Screens

When the recipe book is open, crafting screens stay centered on your screen. Makes the interface feel cleaner and more organized while you work.

Keep Seeing Status Effects

Status effects stay visible while the recipe book is open. No more losing track of buffs and debuffs while you’re crafting.

One-Click Crafting

Craft items with a single click. Hold shift to craft as many as possible in one go. Speeds up the crafting process significantly.

Better Item Alternatives View

See actual items in the alternatives list instead of just recipe names. Makes it much faster to find what you’re looking for.

Ungroup Items

Stop grouping similar items together in the recipe book. Skip the right-click menu and get to your recipes faster.

Furnace Recipes in the Book

Furnace, blast furnace, and smoker recipes now show up in the recipe book for quick reference.

Disable Recipe Book Completely

If you prefer the old way, turn off the recipe book entirely. Play your way.

Installation

What You Need

This mod requires either Minecraft Forge or Fabric. Install the mod loader first, then place the mod file in your .minecraft/mods folder.

The mod also needs these dependencies:
