Better Gold Recycling Data Pack
Tired of throwing away gold items you don’t need? Better Gold Recycling lets you smelt a bunch of gold-based stuff back down into nuggets and ingots. Clocks, powered rails, weighted pressure plates, whatever. Pop them in a furnace and get some gold back. Simple as that.
What Can You Recycle?
This data pack adds furnace recipes for pretty much any gold item you can think of. Items that need 4+ ingots to make will give you a full ingot back when smelted. Smaller items drop gold nuggets instead. Clocks are the exception – they always give nuggets because of how they’re crafted.
So if you’ve got a broken clock or some powered rails sitting in a chest, you can actually use them for something instead of just hoarding them forever.
How to Install
Data packs are super easy to set up – no mods or loaders needed.
- Download the pack for your Minecraft version
- Open your world folder (.minecraft/saves/worldname)
- Drop the ZIP file into the datapacks folder
- Type /reload in-game or restart your world
