Better Dogs Texture Pack Overview
Want to give your wolves some personality? Better Dogs Texture Pack swaps out plain wolf textures with a bunch of different dog breeds. Tame a wolf, slap a nametag on it with the right name, and boom, you’ve got a Corgi, Husky, or Border Collie following you around. Originally made by Mrblueyeti for Java and ported by Parzival_ to Bedrock.
How to Use Dog Breeds
Here’s the simple process:
- Grab an anvil and a name tag
- Rename the name tag to a dog breed name like “Corgi”, “Border Collie”, “Husky”, or “Golden Retriever”
- Make sure the first letter is uppercase and the rest are lowercase (so “Corgi” not “corgi”)
- Apply the name tag to a tamed wolf
- The wolf will instantly change appearance to match the breed
Pro tip: The exact breed names matter, so double-check your spelling.
What This Pack Does and Doesn’t Do
Better Dogs Texture Pack is purely visual. Your wolves will look different, but they act exactly the same as normal wolves. No behavior changes, no new mechanics. It’s just a fresh look for your furry friends. Future updates will add even more dog breeds to choose from.
