Ben’s Sharks Mod 1.20.1

Ben’s Sharks Mod is a Forge mod that fills the ocean with 12 different shark species and 10 new craftable items. If you want more depth to underwater exploration and some fresh challenges, this is worth checking out. The sharks have actual behaviors instead of just swimming around, and some of the items are legitimately useful for survival.

What’s Included

12 Shark Species: You’ve got Great Whites, Tiger Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Remoras, Axodiles, and more. Each one acts different. Some are aggressive, some are neutral until provoked, and a few can be tamed or bred.

New Items: Fish Bucket, Fish Broth, Starch, Cellophane Noodles, Shark Fin Soup, Sucker, Land Mine, Dent, Axoleather, and Axoscute. Most of these are crafting materials or food with actual effects.

Notable Sharks

Great White Shark: Neutral towards you, aggressive towards other sea creatures. If you damage one, it enters a frenzy state and gains the Bleeding effect. Watch out.

Tiger Shark: Aggressive to most aquatic mobs. Feed it a Fish Bucket and it drops a Shark Tooth. Useful for crafting.

Nurse Shark: The tameable one. Use Raw Cod to tame and breed them. When they’re nearby, you get Regeneration. Pretty solid companion for underwater work.

Remora: Follows large aquatic mobs and drops a Sucker when it dies. Useful for gathering crafting materials.

Axodile: Aggressive and inflicts Bleeding. It can break ice blocks, which is actually handy if you’re building underwater bases.

Gear and Crafting

Shark Fin Soup: Fills half your hunger bar and grants Conduit Power. Good emergency food with actual benefits.

Jagged Armor: Crafted from Axoscute. It’s as strong as Diamond Armor, and when someone hits you wearing it, they start bleeding. Defensive mechanic that actually matters.

Special Effects: Feeding sharks with Fish Buckets grants temporary effects like Jaws, Haste, and Resistance III. Different sharks give different bonuses.
