Barely Default Resource Pack

Barely Default is a 16x resource pack that tweaks Minecraft’s default textures and models. It keeps the vanilla feel you know but makes everything look sharper and more detailed. Think of it as turning up the quality without making the game feel totally different.

The pack includes 3D llama heads, custom villager skins, 3D door elements, better-looking weapons, and a bunch of texture improvements across the board. It’s one of those packs that just makes your world feel more polished without being over the top.

Requirements

You need OptiFine to run this pack properly. Most resource packs work fine with OptiFine’s connected textures and custom sky features too.

How to Install

1. Download the zip file for your Minecraft version from below
2. Launch Minecraft and go to Options > Resource Packs
3. Click “Open Pack Folder” to open your resource packs directory
4. Drop the zip file into that folder (don’t unzip it)
5. Back in the game, the pack should appear in your list. Click the arrow to enable it
