If you play Minecraft 1.7.10, you know the pain. Jungles stutter. Caves with lots of light sources stutter. Even normal biomes can get lag spikes. ArchaicFix Mod fixes that by backporting the Phosphor lighting engine to 1.7.10, giving you the performance you should have had all along.
What ArchaicFix Does
ArchaicFix is essentially Phosphor for old Minecraft. It rewrites how the game handles lighting calculations, which is why 1.7.10 gets so choppy in certain situations. Instead of recalculating lighting on the fly when blocks change, ArchaicFix optimizes those calculations.
Key Features:
- Eliminates the famous 1.7.10 client-side stuttering
- Stops lag spikes in jungles and light-heavy biomes
- Backports Phosphor’s optimized lighting engine
- Includes fixes for other vanilla bugs
What You Need
